World of Disney Store Reopens May 27 at Disney Springs

On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, we attended the grand reopening of Disney Springs in the World Disney World® Resort. Now that third party tenants have resumed operations, Disney officially announced that Disney owned stores and restaurants will begin to reopen on May 27, 2020! This includes the huge World of Disney store which has a nice selection of Disney pins, mystery sets and lanyards.

Here is the official statement from the Disney Springs website: "As we have begun a phased reopening of Disney Springs with a number of shopping and dining locations, we are looking ahead to May 27 when we will begin to reopen more of our Disney owned shops and restaurants, including World of Disney, D-Luxe Burger (mobile order) and the Marketplace Co-Op."

We are still unsure if Disney's Pin Traders will be included with this second phase of openings. When we visited on Wednesday, there were social distancing markers on the ground around the Pin Traders store.

This is another exciting step as Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida gradually begins to reopen in a safe manner. We plan on attending the grand reopening of the World of Disney store on 5/27 and will have a blog post with the current pin selection.
