Star Wars Breakfast

Since we are rapidly approaching Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I though that I absolutely needed to visit the Sci-Fi Dine In Restaurant and experience the Star Wars breakfast that is served there every day from May 4th until the end of Star Wars Weekends in mid June. Although the meal is quite expensive, in fact, it costs $49.99 for each adult; the quality of the food is top notch, and the unique experience was worth the money for me.

This breakfast takes place at the Sci-Fi Dine In, which in itself is such a fun experience. When you enter the building, you are greeted by Darth Vader and Boba Fett. There is a photo opportunity set up with these two supporters of the Darkside. They are quite ominous, but we ended up with a great photo! In addition, we were given autograph cards with both gentlemen’s signatures. After the photo op, you are escorted into the drive in so that you can enjoy breakfast as well as get to know a few other roaming Star Wars characters.

When you first sit down, you are treated to a plate filled with Star Wars themed pastries. In addition, there are some interesting drink options because you are dining in the Star Wars universe. Perhaps you would like some bantha milk, no problem! You can order a nice cool glass to go with one of the delicious breakfast meals that are offered. I did pass on the bantha milk, and I opted for orange juice and coffee. I also indulged in a Darth Vader waffle as well as a Yoda Yogurt parfait. I will post a copy of the menus so that you can see all of the galactic offerings. The food was definitely tasty; although, it was a little pricy.

Now, in addition to the food, the real fun happens when some Stormtroopers come to visit, or may some Jawas want to trade with you for your breakfast. Greedo also stopped by in order to greet us as we enjoyed our meal. All of these characters are very interactive, and we had a great time chatting with them as well as taking pictures and getting autographs. It is very dark in the restaurant, and we did struggle a little with getting the pictures to come out clearly. We discovered that turning on the flash did help in order to eliminate all of the shadows that caused the photos to look so blurry.

Overall, this experience was so much fun and just incredibly unique. Kudos to WDW for coming up with such a wonderful idea for this dining opportunity. Due to the price, however, I don’t know if I would dine multiple times. If you have the chance, I would definitely check out this special Star Wars breakfast offering at DHS. You will not be disappointed! May the force be with you, always!
