PinPics Surprise Party Hosted by Holland Hayes

We recently had the opportunity to attend an event called, A PinPics Surprise Party Hosted by Holland Hayes. This exclusive event was filled with Disney Design Artists, pin trading stories, PinPics.com news, food, drinks and of course, pin trading!

The event was held on September 10, 2015 at the B Resort & Spa located near Downtown Disney in Lake Buena Vista, FL and was co-hosted by Cruise Planners/Micdan.com.

After drinks and dinner, the presentation with Holland and Disney Design Artists began. One of the artists was Chris Henning. Below is a video that was played during the artist segment. Chris is assisting in bringing Disney auction quality pins back to us, and he also plans to be much more active in the pin community in the future.

Next was the PinPics segment. We had a chance to meet the owner of PinPics and also their programmer. We were able to ask a few questions with ideas and feedback regarding PinPics.com.

They also talked about the future of PinPics and the exciting things that are coming!

New additions to PinPics.com:

More intuitive layout
- A profile page that will give you more options to create the site you want
  - Select what you want to see on your gallery pages.
  - What kind of pins you would like to receive trade requests for (no more Hidden Mickey pin requests if you wish).
  - Who you would like to trade with.
  - Where in the world you would be willing to trade.

PinPics will begin Live Trading coming very soon! Two new characters named Charlie and Seymour will help guests with live trading. See below to learn more.

Two new characters join PinPics
- Charlie and Seymour and can be found randomly on live trading interactions just like a Disney Cast Member.
- You can choose any pin you like from Charlie and Seymour character lanyards to trade for any pin you wish to send them.
- There will be really great pins thrown in every now and then as well.
- Female characters are coming soon!
- The focus here is for new pin traders so they have a better understanding of how it works and have fun as well.

We are really excited about the new characters and the interactive online trading coming to PinPics! They said it is going to feel like an online park and you will be able to enjoy this with your family and friends when you aren’t able to actually be at a Disney Park. How cool is that?!

After the presentations, we had the opportunity to purchase these beautiful limited edition jumbo Disney pins! There were four different characters, Ariel, Belle, Gaston and Ursula. Here is a look at the Ariel pin:

Then it was time to mingle and pin trade with other guests! During that time we met a lot of great people and talked about all of the new and exciting things in the Disney pin community.
