Surprise surprise…another ShopDisney pin release with major problems. I’m sure many of you experienced the same as I did this morning…getting the “Oh Bother” notice when trying to check out. Happened over and over and over. Geeze Disney, did you furlough or flat-out layoff all your IT people? Unreal how many issues that site has.
In case any of you are still trying to get merchandise, the only thing that seems to be working for many (including myself) is using the app, and checking out as a guest. The app won’t even let you log-in, so don’t “bother” trying. Sheesh…
Buying the LE pins online has just totally sucked the fun out of pin collecting for me. It’s so stressful and I said I would give it one more chance to buy my 4 monthly pins that I collect each month. I was ready to go at 10am EST and signed in and got all the pins in my cart very quickly and then had issues checking out. It doesn’t tell me what the issue is and I didn’t see any issues with my information. I saw 8 pending holds on my credit card so that means I tried to fix it that many times. I was NOT able to get 1 of the pins. So I said that’s it and if I have to go to eBay to purchase the pin, I think this is a good time for me to stop this hobby that I have. I bought the 4 pins from eBay for over double the cost I would have paid myself. So each month I’m not even going to go through the headache of trying and just go straight to eBay knowing that I’m paying more. I cannot have an incomplete set so I will finish out this year! 🙂 It was always so enjoyable to go to the park and grab the pins I needed while I was there. I may change my mind but the longer this continues online….. the more set I will be in my mind that my Disney pin collecting days may have just came to an end this year. I’m running out of room to display my collection anyway. Thanks for listening! I just needed to get my frustration out.
While it’s impressive that they only cost you double, if people would stop paying the insane eBay prices, resellers would stop fighting you over server room when ShopDisney releases these. Imagine how less stressful it would be if only people who actually wanted these to keep were the ones checking out.
This is turning me OFF of pin collecting for sure. I was ready to go and had all my pins in my bag at 10:00 am. I must’ve tried checking out over 50 times over the course of a full hour. Pins kept selling out while I was trying. I was able to check out a little after 11 with only 2 of the pins I wanted. When my work starts up again I won’t be able to mess around with the site like this. Sad to have incomplete sets but maybe better to cut my losses and walk away from this.
