A few months ago we attended the IAAPA 2015 Attractions Expo in Orlando, FL. At the expo, one of the unique vendors we spoke with was Lindstrand Technologies Ltd. They are the world’s leading company in the manufacture of HiFlyer tethered balloons and SkyFlyers for the leisure industry.
If you’ve ever been to Disney Springs at Walt Disney World® Resort, I’m sure you’ve seen the giant hot air balloon in the sky! Well, that is similar to HiFlyer tethered balloon.

The HiFlyer ride is suitable for everyone, child and adult alike – the gondola can comfortably accommodate up to 30 passengers. It allows every passenger an unhindered view and is highly accessible for a standard (lightweight) wheelchair with open weave viewing port ensuring the view is not obstructed. The normal ride is 15 minutes and the typical passenger throughput is 100 per hour. Hence, on a good day over 1,000 passengers can be flown. Details here.
