During Walt Disney’s Animation Celebration pin event, Disney announced the theme for next year’s annual pin trading event! The event is titled Disney FairyTails.

Hi, I am new to the world of pin trading. I’ve collected some pins on my trips to Walt Disney World starting in 2004 and never really did much more than purchasing them in the park shops. I’m now more interested in collecting pins and would like to know more about this event you are talking about. Is this the theme for the next year’s big pin event at Epcot that was themed Animation Celebration this year? Is the event usually towards the end of August? I wasn’t sure if there is more than one pin event at Epcot each year. I am really hoping I can go to next year’s pin event. 🙂

I’m curious when the dates of this event will be next year since there is talk that Disney will not have this event the same weekend as the D23 expo that takes place the 23rd in Disneyland.

Hi Frank, no other details have been announced yet for the Fairy Tails event! Probably in February 2019 we will have more information and be sure to post about it. 🙂

They should go on sale in April on Disney’s website 🙂
is this a separate event that costs more in addition to the $100+ dollars I pay to get in the parks, or is this event included in the price of the park admission?
The annual pin events at Walt Disney World are a separate ticketed event. Admission includes the 3 day event, welcome pin gift, pin set, exit pin gift and a Disney gift card.
When will it be open to buy tickets to this event?
Probably in April.

Usually last week of August but it conflicts this year with another pin event so it will change.
How much is admission for these events typically?
