ParticipantThe “PIN-GO” back-stamp might mean its from HKDL since they seen to have had this game in the past.

ParticipantWith the EPCOT Food & Wine event now starting in late August I would say that they would not put it later than they did this year. The earlier start to F&W was the reason it was moved in the first place from the weekend after Labor day. I would bet on it being earlier in August BUT I would not make any travel commitments until you get the official word from Disney.

ParticipantAs usual GREAT meeting other Traders and making new friends. The lines were very long and this is something that Disney can easily fix by adding more Boards to each section. Simple queuing problem that can be solved very easily if they wanted to do it. The lines that led to other venues than Boards very quickly had nothing in them but HM’s and junk pins as traders dumped their inventory in hopes of getting something better.
Pin preview area was great – wish there was some type of picture or brochure you take away for your records.
Silent auction stuff – just crazy prices for pins in a frame IMHO.Wish the “Pin Management” would have a section on the stage as they did years ago to tell us whats going on for the next year.
Still think that they should have focus groups with Collectors to get the pulse of the Pin Community.
They need to do something for the East Coast traders who have NOTHING to compare Edition-wise to the West Coast MOG, DSSF, WDI releases.

ParticipantPersonally, I would boycott/avoid all of their other stuff (Pinopolis games, pin trading events, etc.) until they put the focus and effort into fixing the PinPics site. While it is not a direct revenue sources for them, it is vital to us collectors to stay in touch with this hobby. I did “systems” work for over 25 years and trust me, the issue that is going on now can be resolved very quickly if desired. Obviously they choose to spend there time and effort in other areas. The fact that they”do not own the servers” is not an excuse to have your premier entry point to the hobby crippled and out of service.

ParticipantSame for me for about 3 days now. Sometimes get in then I get the White Screen of Death. Wish they would fix/upgrade the Web site and spend less time on Pinopolis stuff.

ParticipantI believe ODPT.com is gone for good. We are now relegated to a “Merchandise Event” category on the generic web site.

ParticipantAny update about Pin Event registration web site??

ParticipantOn the auction sites you can ASK whatever you want for an item, that doesn’t mean anyone is going to pay that price. Folks ask insane prices for pins and as long as folks are willing to PAY those prices it will continue.

ParticipantI heard years ago from various CM’s that the WDW location is not big enough for this, and, they did not want all of the problems with pins, wristbands, lines of people in a tight area and so on.
