They can’t just make it bigger without changing the venue. The World Showplace can only accommodate a set number of people safely (especially with the booths & stages set up inside). Last year’s event did not sell out this quickly, so they didn’t have a reason to believe that the demand would increase by such a large amount.
I am very sorry that you didn’t get in. When I heard Ryan saying on the his last video about the event that he had never experienced so much enthusiasm for a pin event before; I knew that I had to be in the queue before 1pm that day. As it was, I had to do it on my cell phone because I was at a client’s office – so I did it from their parking lot (lol).
