Hi all! I’m heading to the parks this weekend and I stopped short of packing my pinfolio. Last time I went to Disneyland (albeit it was a Star Wars night) I brought my pinfolio and didn’t make any trades. I’m pretty wary of trading with cast members because of all the scrappers.
Do you always carry your trading pins with you when you go to the parks? Or do you just stock up on traders when there?
I was also wondering if I should take my traders or empty my pinfolio for new traders I might pick up. What do ya’ll do?August 2, 2018 at 12:10 PM - Views: 9 #32789
If you are talking about trading just in parks then yeah I usually always bring a few and would recommend it just in case you see one or two that catch your eyes. Trading with other non cast members has never really happened in parks for me (on a regular non pin trading event day at least) save for one time.
As for if you think you should bring your pinfolio, I think it all comes down to how serious you are about actively seeking out making trades. Anything you pick up there can be organized later if you dont want to overpackAugust 3, 2018 at 1:58 PM - Views: 13 #32814
You make a good point! I might take a couple of traders to trade with castmembers but won’t pack the whole shebang. I’m way too shy to approach other guests for a trade. Thank you!August 5, 2018 at 1:32 PM - Views: 11 #32914
Update: I’m at the parks and I so regret leaving my traders! It seems like a lot more people are wearing their pins on lanyards and trading than the last time I was here in February! And I’m not seeing a huge surge in authentic pins on cast member boards but I have already seen a few, which is more than I’ve ever seen! Maybe they’re working on taking out the scrappers?August 15, 2018 at 12:44 AM - Views: 9 #33268
I’m glad to hear you are seeing alot of traders. The boards and cast member lanyards are really hit or miss but there are a few good ones. (Usually from people trading their authentic pins from what I have seen). But hopefully they are slowly dealing with the scrapper problem.
