Hey @pinqueen1125, your pin selections must be made by July 18, 2017. Results of the Random Selection Process will be e-mailed on or about July 25, 2017. Credit cards will be charged on or around August 10, 2017.July 26, 2017 at 12:51 AM #21411
I have a moral dilemma. This is my first event and since I didn’t know my chances in the RSP selection (and since all five of my family members are going), we over enthusiastically picked our pins and we hit everything we selected and then some. I now have the option to buy many duplicates and have the rights to four or five of the best pins (5 of the UP and Vain sets, 4 of both framed sets). I hate the crazy mark ups when people sell LE pins on eBay and have never sold a pin. However, I’m considering selling my extras online with only a slight markup to try and pay for the pins I keep? These pins are already online and many are priced at more that double. I don’t know what to do. Any advice?July 26, 2017 at 4:04 PM #21415
Hey Charles! It’s honestly up to you! Like you I have a moral issue with marking up prices but have done so in the past so as not to live on the streets honestly! I now have work so I won’t be reselling to survive. If you are in a position where you can do pickups I suggest posting it either here, facebook (there are many pin trading groups), and instagram. Many people will want certain pins and you can gauge people who earnestly want them rather than those who want to re-sell after obtaining it from you. If you want to make money without feeling negative morally you can always set it on ebay for bid at a low price and it will go up on its own if it is highly valued. That way you make money without the intention of selling it at a high price. That being if you are selling the Beauty and the Beast from the frame set let me know! I would love to give that pin to my girlfriend. Thanks for the transparency Charles!July 26, 2017 at 9:53 PM #21437
My family and I will be at WDW that week but are not attending the event. I would love to purchase some of your extra pins at a reasonable price. Especially the Rapunzel/Tangled pin. Please let me know what pins you have and what prices you would like for them
As far as your dilemma is concerned just do whatever you think is right. Whenever i get extra pins at an event I usually price the extras to cover the cost of my pins. Pretty simple. Sell a $15 for $30 and you get your pin for free.

No problem Charles! Let me know if you are splitting up please! Are you splitting up the box set? I’m interested in that Beauty and the Beast as well! Those two would go so well together! Hope you have fun at the event I personally haven’t attended a pin trading event yet.July 27, 2017 at 5:20 AM #21444

Hi there. New the community, but now that we are in the ‘know’ phase of the pin event, I needed to actually get on and say hi.
I was in the same dilemma as Charles, ordered a few to many of some pins that I really wanted to try and make sure I got, but I’m trying to think if I should just keep as traders it just return. Charles, I would love to discuss #16 with you. We went after two sets, got the love is strength one, but missed on Love is quotable. So I’d love to discuss. Was going to see if any got returned at the event or if trading was available, but I’m happy to use this forum to discuss that as well.
We just started this pin trading stuff about 4 months ago and what a rabbit hole this has become. Love it. Can’t wait for the event and getting to know people here as well. 😀July 27, 2017 at 4:01 PM #21447
Andrew if you have the money to afford keeping them as traders I suggest you do. Event pins are good traders to trade with people who were unable to attend and sought after.July 27, 2017 at 5:31 PM #21450
Andrew, I definitely had every intention of keeping mine and trading but I literally got four or five of all of the most expensive sets. My total invoice is for over $5,000 and I can’t justify to myself spending that much. Plus I am a gold spider for the pinpics event that week and am going to buy the five Acme pins which are not cheap. Oh well, I’ve lined up about 8 sales so far, and will return several. 16 is still available. Tell me what you are willing to pay and it’s yours.July 28, 2017 at 6:31 AM #21455

I am keeping everything. It’s not a terrible haul. I need to get/find one more love is light. I got 2 of those and I have two friends who are going to fight over our 1 extra (might just give them mine and look for another for our collection)
Been getting good pins on lots – working with reputable people. So we are coming into this event ready to deal.
Chalres – first what is a spider pin? I’m fairly new so that is new to me 😀
Second, I’ll be honest, my intention with the love is quotable was to see if anyone was returning one and try to buy there or trade for the set/specific pins. At 130 or more, it’s really not worth it. So I’d be willing to pay the price as annual passholder, but really not more. I’m sure you can find someone willing to buy for more. However, for us, it’s not worth it to spend over retail. Apologize, if this is coming across wrong, just need to be honest about that.July 28, 2017 at 12:30 PM #21459
Andrew, sorry about that, auto correct but me. I meant gold sponsor. No worries I will likely be returning it as I have not gotten much interest. Hope you are able to get it.July 29, 2017 at 11:07 AM #21487
Charles I will be at the event but unfortunately did not get set #19 on my RSP and I’m interested in buying one of your extras.July 29, 2017 at 8:37 PM #21493
Chris, sure. Make me an offer and it’s a deal.July 31, 2017 at 11:16 PM #21537
$350 I can get it from you at the event so no need to ship.August 2, 2017 at 12:36 PM #21610
