So excited just registered for Love is an adventure pin trading event! I have never been to a pin trading event so am looking for any advice anyone can give me. should I plan on being at the event the whole time on both days?May 1, 2017 at 7:15 PM #19319
Hey Dawn, welcome to the forums!
Love is an Adventure is going to be a great event. I would definitely plan on attending both days to maximize your trading. Also, the line to enter usually starts forming around an hour or two before the gates open.
Once inside, you can use your 4 vouchers per day to trade on the boards. You are allowed 2 pins per board. They are usually filled with rare pins as well like limited edition, and Artist Proofs!
Let me know if you have any specific questions.May 2, 2017 at 8:02 AM #19327

Thank-you for the information! I just made some breakfast reservations I might need to change lol. Are you usually there from opening till closing? I saw they are offering boxed lunches but with being in Epcot I’m sure we could find something better (and cheaper!) pins pins pins so many to choose from! Can’t wait to go and meet pin tradersMay 3, 2017 at 8:37 PM #19361
Yeah I usually go from opening to close! In my opinion the box lunches are a little over priced. I usually head out to the Rose and Crown quick service and get fish and chips! haha
SO many pins!!!May 4, 2017 at 4:37 PM #19383
Hello all. Like Dawn, this will also be my first big pin trading event. I just booked for my sister and I, and can’t wait to meet up with people who have the interest in pin trading/collecting. I do have a question though…will there be a specific section that the members of DPB can meet up? Thanks in advance, and can’t wait to go broke buying all these Love event pins!May 5, 2017 at 11:56 AM #19420
We won’t have a specific section at the Love is an Adventure pin event for a meet-up. We are sponsoring another event the very next day though! DPB will have a table there with a raffle as well. It will be at the Holiday Inn – Disney Springs at WDW.
Hope to see you there! Have a great time at the Love is an Adventure event as well. 🙂May 16, 2017 at 4:02 PM #19633

This is the first event I have ever gone to and hope someone might be able to answer a few questions. First, since there is no breakfast this year, when would you recommend lining up before the doors open? I’m coming in from New Mexico, so I don’t care about getting up early because I don’t want to miss anything. Second, my wife and three daughters are coming as well so we will have a lot of pin board tickets. Will they let me or my wife assist my daughters at the boards? They are 11,10 and 6 but are just getting into trading. Lastly, after seeing the videos of the last two year’s of silent auctions, I am bummed that there is not one this year. Are there any other events that Disney has silent auctions like the ones they have had at this event in the past? ThanksMay 22, 2017 at 5:17 PM #19820
1. I would get in line at least an hour before the doors open.
2. It all depends on the Cast Member, but if you ask to assist your children, they should let you!
3. I’m bummed about the silent auction as well! It was so fun seeing the different items they put together. I do not know of anything other Disney events with silent pin auctions.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
