I would LOVE to get one of the park pet sets but unfortunately I can’t go to the event. I’m a teacher and my summer ends August 1 lol.May 2, 2019 at 10:39 PM - Views: 1780 #49023AllThingsDisney1928Participant
I know that I am most likely in the minority but is anyone else disappointed by the pins choices available?May 7, 2019 at 8:07 AM - Views: 1816 #49258snoopywoodstockParticipant

Best in Show sold out! My place when the queue went live was 195.May 7, 2019 at 1:29 PM - Views: 1751 #49264RandakinskywalkerParticipant
Hi Snoopy! The registration only released 20 minutes ago, at 1 PM EST. You can find it here.
I’m registered, and very nervous as it’s my first pin event like this! It’s a lot of money to take a chance on this but I couldn’t be more excited about the theme. That Aristocats mini jumbo and Pepita are amazing.
I have a question about the RSP– if I recall correctly, it said it closed on July 1st. Will RSP orders be processed and selected all at once (whether you register two months in advance or at the last minute) or is there a preferential order based on time submitted? I know BIS package gets processed first but I’m not making a whole lot of money so I would love if I had til July 1st to gather my resources. But I also don’t want to compromise my ability to get selected, if that means I would get last pick. Does anyone get what I’m saying and can answer?
Also if a veteran to these events would be kind enough to answer some questions privately, I’d be very grateful!May 7, 2019 at 1:58 PM - Views: 1798 #49268Chris71855Participant
Yes Randa Everyone who is in the RSP has the same chance (After the Best in Shows) no matter when you submit the RSP. You also dont have to pay up front for what you put on your list. You will only be charged for what you actually win. Hope this helps…May 7, 2019 at 2:55 PM - Views: 1787 #49270opharbourParticipant
Event is sold out. Congrats to all who were able to get a package and attend.May 7, 2019 at 4:08 PM - Views: 1760 #49273DanielParticipant
We got extremely lucky and ended up scoring two “Best in Show” tix! I’m hoping that they will have some of the pins on display at the May Pin trading night because pins always look different than the images they give us ahead of time.May 7, 2019 at 4:16 PM - Views: 1785 #49274MufasaParticipant
I hope they don’t just open up a lot of spots and we have to deal with 2 hour linesMay 8, 2019 at 10:07 PM - Views: 1784 #49329JoJoParticipant
Very sad and disappointed : (
I was looking forward to this event for months!!! Tuning in to DPB daily for registration updates and planning my trip (glad I didn’t book my room and flight). I had to work the day registration went live, I tried to register 4 hours after it went live, but by then it was way too late…. : (
I haven’t been able to register for the last few pin trading events because they always sell out fast. This last one in about an hour.
There is obviously demand here, lots of pin fans wanting to attend these events and never enough spots available. Can someone please explain why Disney doesn’t just open up more spots and make these events bigger so that more people could attend?
I put myself on the waiting list in case someone cancels…..but yeah right good luck.May 9, 2019 at 8:35 AM - Views: 1784 #49346MufasaParticipant
I’m sorry if my post seemed insincere to those who did not get a ticket. It was not intended that way.May 9, 2019 at 2:30 PM - Views: 1746 #49349DanielParticipant
They can’t just make it bigger without changing the venue. The World Showplace can only accommodate a set number of people safely (especially with the booths & stages set up inside). Last year’s event did not sell out this quickly, so they didn’t have a reason to believe that the demand would increase by such a large amount.
I am very sorry that you didn’t get in. When I heard Ryan saying on the his last video about the event that he had never experienced so much enthusiasm for a pin event before; I knew that I had to be in the queue before 1pm that day. As it was, I had to do it on my cell phone because I was at a client’s office – so I did it from their parking lot (lol).May 9, 2019 at 3:09 PM - Views: 1726 #49350RandakinskywalkerParticipant
I’m sorry to everyone who didn’t get in. ): I hear this sold out abnormally quickly.
On another note. Forgive the ignorant question, but are we allowed to do pickups/preorders for pins? I don’t plan on scalping, moreso helping out those that missed it, but I wanted to ask beforehand because I don’t want to get in trouble!May 10, 2019 at 12:45 AM - Views: 1781 #49405JoJoParticipant
Hey Daniel. How did you manage to get in the queue before 1pm? Did the registration link work before 1pm?
All of their Pin Trading events have been selling out quick lately. They have to know how popular these events are and they have the ability to use larger venues if they wanted to. It almost seems as if they don’t want these pin events to get larger then they already are? Not sure if its related to staffing, Pin quantities or just bad event planning but I’m really curious to know and I would love to know what Disney reps would have to say about this. I’m also curious to know how many other people where not able to register for this event, hundreds more?
